Then she quit her college and relocated from New York City to Los Angeles to start a successful acting career. Her first film was the short Lucy's Piano in 2006. In 2009, following her performance in an important role for the film 17 Again, Alice McKee appeared as the lead character in Blood: The Last Vampire as the leading role. It was her first major TV breakthrough when she starred in the lead role in the show titled Kings in the year 2009. Her other television roles include Terra Nova Go On (a series) as well as Selfie.
